The Payroll Officer is responsible for managing, reviewing, and executing all payroll operations accurately and on schedule. This includes salary processing, end-of-service settlements, payroll reporting, and compliance with UAE Labour Law. The role ensures data integrity, confidentiality, and alignment with organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Management
Prepare, review, and process monthly payroll for all employees in accordance with statutory and company requirements.
Validate attendance, overtime, deductions, and allowances prior to payroll finalization.
Ensure timely salary disbursement through WPS or bank transfers.
Review and approve payroll reports and reconciliations before submission to Finance.
Maintain payroll controls to prevent discrepancies, overpayments, or delays.

2. Final Settlements & Compliance
Process end-of-service benefits (EOSB), gratuity, and final settlements in line with UAE Labour Law and company policy.
Coordinate with HR and PRO teams for exit formalities including visa cancellation and clearance.
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including WPS, GOSI, and pension contributions where applicable.

3. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly payroll reports, variance analyses, and cost summaries for management.
Support annual audit processes with required payroll data and documentation.
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure alignment between HRMS and accounting systems.

4. HRMS & Process Improvement
Manage employee data in HRMS related to payroll, benefits, and job status changes.
Review and enhance payroll processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
Ensure smooth integration of HRMS updates and coordinate with IT for payroll module enhancements.

5. Employee Support & Confidentiality
Handle employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
Issue salary, employment, and other related certificates upon request.
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee compensation data.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
100% on-time and error-free payroll processing.
Compliance with UAE labour and WPS regulations.
Timely completion of final settlements and reports.
High accuracy in HRMS data and reporting.
Positive employee feedback on payroll services.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years in payroll operations within the UAE.
Knowledge:
UAE Labour Law, WPS system, HRMS/payroll software, and Excel proficiency.
