We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Payroll Assistant. The Payroll Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our clients, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for clients.
Calculate and input employee hours, overtime, and deductions accurately.
Verify and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy.
Compliance and Reporting:
Stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations.
Generate and submit payroll reports to clients and regulatory authorities.
Assist in compliance with local, state, and federal payroll tax requirements.
Client Communication:
Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll matters promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary payroll information.
Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll information.
Technology Utilization:
Use payroll software and tools proficiently.
Collaborate with the IT department to address any technical issues related to payroll processing.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in payroll processing or related field preferred.
Knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
