Job Description

About the role

The Payroll Specialist / Accountant will be responsible for the payroll functions of the organization, ensuring pay is processed for existing employees and terminations, on time, accurately, and in compliance with UAE labor law.

Job Responsibilities

Payroll

Review payroll systems, including employment hires and terminations.

Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

Process earnings or deductions

Update general ledger and payroll files

Ensure payroll documents are accurate

Generating payroll reports for Managers to review.

Reconciliation of all payroll-related items

Answer employee questions concerning payroll

Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.

Ensure the payroll is compliance with the law

Update the bank account of the staff

Prepare monthly comparisons for the following

Monthly Payroll vs Monthly Payroll Budget

Hires vs budgeted

Salary Adjustments vs Salary Increment Budget

Earning payments vs budget

Perform payroll or any other financial-related audits

Attendance Management

Review the timesheet of employees including leave management, employee schedules, etc

Monitoring timecards for accuracy and making necessary adjustments

Match the hours worked with the scheduled hours

Run and distribute daily time management reports, (late reporting, absence, leave, etc.)

Keeps timekeeping application (Kronos) consistent.

Review overtime requests and Timebacks

Review time-off requests and approvals

Train the employees and manager about the Kronos (Workforce Management Application) on the policies and procedures.

Off Boarding

Ensures on-time release of Clearance Kit which includes the confirmation letter of the separation, Checklist, exit interview, clearance form, etc.

Provides consistent and effective communication regarding employee status and offboarding process

Attends to all queries and concerns pertaining to the offboarding process

Process the Final Settlement in compliance with UAE labor law.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

At least three to five years of experience in the Accounting field as a Payroll Accountant.

Complete knowledge of UAE Labor Law

Excellent accounting and computer skills

Experience working on payroll software like SAP or Oracle

Familiarities with Kronos (Workforce Management Application) is an advantage
