Job Description

Lead Transition: Oversee the migration from MT to MX messaging formats, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to payment operations.

Architecture Design: Develop and implement robust payment architecture strategies that support the new MX messaging standards.

System Integration: Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate MX messaging into existing systems, ensuring compatibility and efficiency. Responsible, along with the development team, vendors for identifying design and development tools for most effective delivery of integration development tasks.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure all payment systems comply with SWIFT standards and regulatory requirements.

Technical Role: Provide technical guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in payment processing and messaging. Responsible for technical vendor evaluation and RFPs.

Performance Optimization: Optimize payment processing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.


Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation and provide training to stakeholders on the new MX messaging standards and processes.

Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions related to the transition. Able to demonstrate ability to go the extra mile to ensure project success. 5 Competencies

6 Skills

Hands on knowledge, well versed with latest payment technologies, Architecture frameworks and Integration platforms.

Experience in a business facing role demonstrating presentation skills, as well as having the ability to communicate to senior management


Must have Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Shall Have working knowledge Defining API Specification for REST or Web Services

Shall have knowledge of API & Interface governances, design standards and principles


Shall have knowledge in Cloud Deployments AWS , Azure, Professional certification will be added advantage

Shall have knowledge hardware sizing and able to define application architecture that High Available, scalable etc.


Experience in a client facing role demonstrating presentation skills, as well as having the ability to communicate with senior management.

Banking domain knowledge understanding of current opportunities and challenges in Financial Services industry.
