Stay up to date with developments in the fields of pathology and medical practice Study blood samples for transfusion use including the blood type, blood group, cell morphology, and compatibility with other blood types Use medical equipment and computerized systems to perform various lab tests Operate laboratory equipment such as cell counters and microscopes Log data from lab tests and enter results in patient's record Perform laboratory tests on tissues, cells, and bodily fluids.
Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in pathology. Board certification in clinical pathology. Valid medical license to practice. Extensive experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Strong analytical and diagnostic skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Experience in medical research is a plus. Ability to supervise and train laboratory staff. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex medical data. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Knowledge of the latest advancements in pathology. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information. Interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses. Consult with medical staff on patient diagnoses and treatment plans. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Stay updated with the latest advancements in pathology. Prepare detailed reports on test findings. Supervise and train laboratory technicians. Participate in medical research projects. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Review and validate laboratory results. Develop and implement laboratory protocols and procedures. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results. Manage laboratory inventory and order supplies as needed. Provide expert advice on the selection and use of laboratory tests. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities. Communicate effectively with patients and their families. Assist in the development of new diagnostic tests and techniques. Ensure the confidentiality of patient information. Contribute to the improvement of laboratory services and patient care.
