Job Title: Pastry/Bakery Head Chef Job Summary: The Pastry/Bakery Head Chef is responsible for leading the pastry and bakery team, designing and creating a wide range of baked goods, desserts, and pastries, ensuring the highest quality and presentation. They are also responsible for menu development, cost control, and managing the day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery department. Key Responsibilities:Menu Development: Create and develop a diverse and innovative menu of pastries, desserts, and baked goods. Stay updated with industry trends and seasonal ingredients to continually refresh the menu. Production and Quality Control: Oversee the production of pastries, bread, cakes, and desserts. Maintain high-quality standards and ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise pastry and bakery staff. Delegate tasks, set schedules, and ensure a productive and efficient working environment. Cost Management: Monitor ingredient costs and portion control to maintain profitability. Implement cost-effective practices without compromising quality. Inventory and Supply Chain: Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels. Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality ingredients. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the pastry and bakery department follows all health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Creative Innovation: Experiment with new flavors, techniques, and presentation styles to keep the menu fresh and exciting. Customer Service: Address customer feedback and requests professionally. Budgeting and Reporting: Prepare and manage the department\'s budget. Generate reports on department performance and financials. Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and new techniques through workshops, seminars, and culinary training. Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Pastry/Bakery Chef or a similar role, with a strong background in pastry and bakery techniques.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is often preferred.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Creativity and a passion for pastry and bakery arts.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Basic computer skills for inventory and budget management.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
