Job Description

We are seeking a

skilled and creative Pastry Chef

who is passionate about baking and dedicated to producing

high-quality artisan pastries, croissants, sourdough bread, and other baked goods

. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry and bakery production, with an eye for detail, consistency, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a wide range of artisan pastries, viennoiseries, and breads including croissants, sourdough loaves, and specialty items. Develop and test new recipes and seasonal offerings in line with brand standards. Ensure all baked products meet quality, freshness, and presentation standards. Manage daily bakery production schedules to meet cafe and retail demands. Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment. Monitor ingredient inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Train and supervise junior pastry staff (if applicable). Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker, preferably in an artisan bakery or cafe setting. Skilled in making laminated doughs (croissants, puff pastry) and sourdough fermentation. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Creative flair with attention to detail and consistency. Ability to work early mornings and manage multiple production tasks efficiently. Culinary or baking certification preferred but not required.
