Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, breads, cookies, and plated desserts
Decorate and present desserts in an attractive, high-quality manner
Develop and test new dessert recipes for seasonal menus and special events
Manage inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste
Ensure food preparation and storage comply with health and safety regulations
Supervise and train pastry assistants or kitchen staff (if applicable)
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team on menu planning and execution
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or relevant role
Culinary degree or certification in baking/pastry arts preferred
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices
Creative flair with a keen eye for detail and presentation
Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for long periods
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
