Full job description The ideal candidate is essentially well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for pastry and bakery and ability to create and maintain delicate pastries, cakes, desserts and all bakery products. Responsibilities
Can create wide variety of exquisite bakery products and different kinds of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, macaroons, desserts following traditional and modern recipes
Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices using for cooking
Used to lead and handle a team of bakers, supervises all pastry staff to the best knowledge
Develop new seasonal recipes and menus and keep up with the latest trend
Requirements and skills
Proven experience as Pastry Chef of Baker from bakery industry
Menu Engineering knowledge
Organizing and leadership skills
In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
Working knowledge of chocolate work, wedding and specialty cakes
Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field
Knowledgeable in food costing
Ability to commute/relocate
Dubai: reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
