Job Summary
The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality desserts, pastries, baked goods, and confections. This role involves menu development, food preparation, kitchen organization, and maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, and other baked goods
Develop and test new dessert recipes and seasonal menu items
Ensure consistent quality, flavor, and presentation of all pastry items
Manage daily pastry production and workflow
Monitor ingredient quality and freshness
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Assist with inventory control and ordering of pastry ingredients
Train and supervise junior kitchen or pastry staff (if applicable)
Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role
Knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert plating
Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong time management and organizational skills
Creativity and attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Culinary or Pastry Arts certification
Experience in a professional kitchen, bakery, hotel, or restaurant
Knowledge of international or specialty desserts
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to lift and carry kitchen equipment or ingredients
Manual dexterity for detailed pastry work

Pay: Up to QAR8,000.00 per month
