Diploma or certificate in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or equivalent (preferred).
Professional training in baking, pastry, and dessert preparation.
Experience:
3 to 6 years proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a similar role.
Hands-on experience with a wide variety of pastry techniques (cakes, bread, desserts, tarts, chocolate, etc.).
Experience in high-volume kitchens, hotels, or fine dining is an advantage.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and presentation.
Creativity in developing new recipes and menu items.
Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Ability to manage ingredients, control food cost, and minimize waste.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Personal Qualities:
Attention to detail and artistic presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Team player with good communication skills.
Flexible, reliable, and passionate about pastry and baking.
