We are seeking an experienced and reliable
Pastry Chef cum Baker
to join our team in
Nauru
. The role involves preparing a variety of pastries, breads, and baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who can work independently and adapt to a small-island environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, bake, and present pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked items
Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all products
Manage daily production and baking schedules
Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at all times
Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
Minimize waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients
Follow company recipes and contribute ideas when required
Requirements
Proven 5 years' experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker (hotel or resort experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of pastry and bread-making techniques
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
Experience working overseas or in remote locations is an advantage
Willingness to relocate and work in Nauru
