Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, cakes, bread, and specialty items
Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menu items
Decorate cakes and pastries according to brand standards
Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation
Manage daily pastry production and planning
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients
Control food cost and minimize wastage
Follow food safety and HACCP standards
Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for timely delivery
Requirements & Skills
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker
Knowledge of baking techniques, chocolate work, and dessert plating
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Creativity and attention to detail
Time management and multitasking skills
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Culinary or pastry certification is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in hotels, bakeries, or fine-dining restaurants
Experience with fondant, chocolate decorations, and modern desserts
Ability to design custom cakes for events
