We are looking for a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to lead the pastry section and craft a variety of baked goods and desserts that meet high standards of taste, texture, and presentation. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for pastry arts and a creative yet detail-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
xc2xb7 Oversee the production of pastries, desserts, cakes, and other baked goods.
xc2xb7 Develop new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team.
xc2xb7 Manage daily mise en place, baking, and decorating tasks.
xc2xb7 Ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and portion control.
xc2xb7 Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and reduce waste.
xc2xb7 Enforce hygiene and food safety practices (HACCP compliance).
xc2xb7 Train and supervise junior pastry staff and commis.
xc2xb7 Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section.
Requirements
xc2xb7 Minimum 45 years of pastry kitchen experience, with at least 12 years in a lead role.
xc2xb7 Diploma/ Bachelors Degree in Pastry Arts, Hospitality, Tourism, or related field.
xc2xb7 HACCP Certified strong understanding of food safety and sanitation.
xc2xb7 Proficient in a variety of pastry techniques, doughs, and decorations.
xc2xb7 Creative, artistic, and precise with plating and flavor combinations.
xc2xb7 Excellent team leadership, time management, and communication skills.
xc2xb7 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy kitchen environment.
