Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Conceptualize, design, and execute a diverse range of pastry items for the menu, ensuring a balance of flavors, textures, and visual appeal.
- Production: Oversee the production of all pastry items, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to established recipes and standards.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and bring a creative flair to the pastry department, introducing new and innovative techniques, flavors, and presentations.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, conducting regular tastings and inspections to ensure excellence in every dish.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the culinary team to coordinate menu offerings and ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of pastry ingredients, minimizing waste and ensuring freshness.
- Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with a strong portfolio of creative and visually appealing pastry creations.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized institution.
- Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and trends.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
