We seek a creative Pastry Commis Chef to create outstanding recipes for the menu where presentation and flavor come together to impress our customers. Create and prepare a wide variety of food, such as cakes, cookies, pies, crepes, and sandwiches for the menu. Adventure to create recipes for gluten-free and sugar alternatives. Passionate and skilled in food presentation. Manage the menu planning, inventory, stock monitoring, and ordering ingredients and equipment when needed and within budget. Ensure that food quality is consistently high, hygiene standards are exceeded, and all food safety laws are followed. Train and motivate the kitchen staff to work more efficiently together Assisting in other areas of the kitchen when required. Requirements Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field. Creativity and ability with artistic skill in food presentation. Organizing and leadership skills. In-depth Knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques, and nutrition. Working Knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten-free, sugarless, etc.) Flexible to working hours, including weekends and evenings, when necessary.
