Job Description

A family in Dubai is seeking an experienced, development focused childcare professional to support their very verbal and sociable 2 year old daughter. The ideal candidate will bring intentional learning through play, encourage independence, and provide a gentle morning structure that keeps her stimulated and engaged.

This role is perfect for a nanny with strong early years experience, an early childhood educator, or a toddler tutor who enjoys guiding development in a fun, hands on way.

Part-time Early Years Private Tutor

Location

: Umm Suqeim 1, Dubai

Days per week

: Starting 3 days / to extend to 5

Hours per day

: 4 to 5 hours, mostly mornings

Flexibility

: The family is very flexible, and value candidates who can also be adaptable

Hourly rate

: 100 to 200 AED per hour, depending on experience

About the Family

The family has two children, a bright 2 year old girl and a 7 month old baby. The mother is usually at home, supportive, and happy to work collaboratively with the right person. The environment is calm, respectful, and child focused.

About the child

The family's daughter is a confident and curious little girl who is thriving at home. She is 2 years old. Very verbal and expressive Highly responsive and interactive Sociable and enjoys outings, playdates, and activities outside the home Polite, friendly, and loves meeting people Enthusiastic about play, but ready for more challenge and developmental structure She does not nap daily, typically around three times per week, so most mornings are active and engaging.

What the Family Is Looking For

The family currently have a nanny, however they are looking to add someone with a higher level of early childhood development experience. They want a candidate who can guide learning more intentionally and help their daughter grow in confidence, independence, and cognitive skills. They are open to a nanny or tutor style profile, as long as the candidate can provide enriching daily learning through play.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Plan and lead age appropriate, engaging activities that support development and independence Create a gentle, structured morning routine that balances learning and play Prepare weekly themes or topics, for example nature, animals, shapes, music, early literacy, sensory play, or simple science based exploration Encourage curiosity, language growth, and social confidence Take the child on stimulating outings when appropriate, such as parks, toddler classes, or play based community activities Occasionally include the family's 7 month old baby in calm and safe activities, supporting sibling bonding

Candidate Profile

Experienced with toddlers, particularly ages 2 to 3 Confident in early childhood milestones and development focused care Playful, energetic, and naturally engaging Creative and able to make learning fun and purposeful Patient, kind, and encouraging of independence Comfortable working in a home environment where mum is present Reliable, flexible, and professional
