Role:
- Lead the organization and processes of Partner Challenges, a semester and/or year-long project where students work with local businesses and organizations to find solutions to real world challenges.
- Develop the Partner Network: Reach out to companies that might be interested in being part of these challenges and present to them what Partner Challenges are about in such a way that they want to participate.
- Initial presentation of partner challenges to students, oversee the Milestone Meetings through the semester/year, and plan a final event to close the Partner Challenges at the end of the semester/year
- Design an effective, collaborative system where you are able to track student\xe2\x80\x99s meetings with mentors
- Coordinate with Faculty and Coach to review Challenges make sure that they are the appropriate level for first, second, third, or fourth year university students
- Support Coach in the matching process between students and companies and select the most appropriate one
- Organize an initial presentation about Partner Challenges to present to students in their Foundation Week
- Keep track of the student\xe2\x80\x99s Partner Challenges, making sure that they are up to date in uploading their document
- Be the point of contact of Mentors and Partners in case they have any questions
- Constantly monitor the health of the relationship with all Partners
- Be the bridge between student teams and mentors and partners
- Collaborate with the Coach on identifying students\xe2\x80\x99 needs
- Support with the Student Life team to source and organize events for the program
Competencies:
- Curiosity, learning agility and highly flexible/adaptable
- Strong project management/organizational skills; able to set and follow through on timelines, move a cross-functional team through a shared production process, strong attention to detail and anticipate needs to preemptively eliminate any roadblocks to achieving the goals as well as manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and able to communicate with different types of audiences and tailoring your communication to them (e.g. corporate management, undergraduate students, faculty).
- Empathy, understanding, and patience in dealing with diverse perspectives.
- Inter-cultural sensitivity. Working and/or interest in knowing about the UAE
- A demonstrated ability to work well in small teams, and able to do things outside their job description to support the team
- Skills in program design, facilitation, and management
- Tech savvy with experience with various digital tools and platforms for event production and project management (eg Zoom, Asana, SpatialChat, Mural, Google Suite, Microsoft Teams)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for student development
- Arabic language skills highly desirable
Requirements:
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant discipline
- Should have 1-3 years of professional experience in project management and/or outreach role (business development/relationship building/sales) in an educational setting.
- Experience with supporting a diverse student community in challenges related to developing their professional and interpersonal skills
- Experience working within/supporting an inter-disciplinary program is highly desirable.
Location: We prefer those based in the UAE, in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
