The Radiologist is responsible for performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating various medical conditions. The role involves working with advanced imaging equipment such as X-ray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and Mammography, ensuring accurate reports and maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret and report findings from diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, and mammography.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of radiology reports for referring physicians.
Consult with referring doctors to discuss results and recommend further diagnostic procedures if necessary.
Supervise and guide radiology technologists and ensure proper imaging protocols are followed.
Monitor radiation safety measures and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases.
Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure professional standards of ethical practice.
Review and maintain radiology equipment functionality and coordinate with biomedical teams for maintenance.
Stay updated with advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education.
