The job holder is responsible for providing various dental services to patients, including preventive services, restorative services, cosmetic procedures, and overall dental health concerns. He/she will work closely with the assigned dental assistant to ensure that the patient receives the highest level of dental service.
Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients.
Evaluate patient's dental health and prescribe medications, if needed
Educate patients on preventive dental care and oral health care.
Design and fix prosthodontic appliances including bridges, dentures, and space maintainers.
Handle and manage emergency and trauma dental cases.
Refer patients to appropriate specialists when needed.
Work well with assigned dental assistants and ensure to provide quality patient treatments.
Maintain proper handling of instruments and ensure they are properly sterilized before use.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with regulations, rules, and procedures.
Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock and placing orders.
Provide patients with cost estimates and details of a treatment plan.
Follow scope of center's services and refer patients to other facilities when and as necessary.
Provide treatment according to the center's services and privileges applied by the dentist from DOH.
