Job Description

Job Summary:

The Painter Polisher is responsible for performing all painting, polishing, and finishing tasks required to maintain the facility's appearance and ensure high-quality finishes on furniture, walls, fixtures, and other surfaces. This includes surface preparation, application of paints and finishes, and the use of appropriate tools and materials to achieve a professional result.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces for painting or polishing, including sanding, cleaning, and priming. Apply paints, varnishes, lacquers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Perform touch-up painting and polishing on walls, furniture, woodwork, and metal surfaces. Repair and refinish wooden or metal furniture and fixtures. Maintain paint and polish inventory; request supplies as needed. Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards. Follow all health and safety procedures during painting and polishing tasks. Coordinate with other departments as needed to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Perform preventive maintenance tasks related to painting and surface finishing. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a painter and/or polisher in a commercial, residential, or hospitality environment. Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials. Familiarity with color mixing, finishing processes, and surface preparation. Ability to read and follow technical instructions and safety guidelines. Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality finishes. Physical stamina and the ability to work in various positions (e.g., standing, kneeling, or climbing ladders). Basic communication skills; ability to work well in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification or vocational training in painting, polishing, or a related trade. Experience in the hospitality or facilities maintenance industry.
