Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Painter is responsible for preparing, finishing, and painting surfaces for interior fit-out projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and finishes that meet company standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare walls, ceilings, wood, metal, and other surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming before painting. Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, lacquers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Execute decorative finishes, textures, and special painting effects as per design specifications. Protect surfaces and surrounding areas using appropriate coverings and masking before painting. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of paint materials and chemicals. Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Inspect finished work to ensure surfaces are smooth, evenly coated, and free from defects. Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades to deliver projects on time. Maintain painting tools, equipment, and ensure cleanliness of the worksite. Comply with company quality standards and project-specific requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a Painter in interior fit-out, construction, or related industry. Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, painting methods, and finishing standards. Familiarity with different types of paints, coatings, and application tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes. Physical stamina and ability to work at heights when required. Understanding of safety practices and procedures at construction sites.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Minimum 3-5 years of painting experience in interior fit-out projects. Certification or training in painting and finishing (advantageous).
