Painter

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying finishes to various structures and surfaces. This role requires precision, creativity, and a strong understanding of painting techniques and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Read blueprints and instructions to determine painting requirements Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and removing old paint Mix paints and materials to achieve desired color and texture Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment Fill cracks and holes with appropriate materials (e.g., plaster or putty) Protect surrounding areas by covering fixtures and furniture Set up scaffolding and ladders safely for high-reach areas Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Follow all health and safety regulations on job sites Communicate effectively with clients and team members

Requirements

Proven experience as a professional painter High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus Knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and color theory Skilled in using painting tools and equipment Basic math skills for measurements and cost estimation Physical stamina and dexterity to work on ladders and scaffolding Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team Experience in residential and commercial painting
