Job Overview

:

The Hotel Painter is responsible for maintaining and improving the hotel's aesthetic appeal by performing various painting and finishing tasks. This role ensures that all hotel spaces, including rooms, hallways, lobbies, and other common areas, remain visually appealing and well-maintained. The Hotel Painter will work closely with the facilities team to ensure that maintenance schedules are adhered to and that all painting work is completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

:

Painting and Finishing

: Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and furniture. Ensure a high-quality finish.

Surface Preparation

: Prepare surfaces by sanding, cleaning, filling cracks, and priming as necessary to ensure smooth and durable paint application.

Maintenance and Touch-ups

: Regularly inspect the hotel's property for areas in need of touch-ups or repaints due to wear and tear, and perform maintenance tasks as needed.

Decorative and Protective Coatings

: Apply specialty coatings like anti-graffiti, moisture-resistant, or fireproof paints when necessary, as per the hotel's needs.

Collaboration with Hotel Staff

: Work closely with the facilities or maintenance team to coordinate painting schedules, particularly in high-traffic areas to minimize guest disruption.

Safety and Cleanliness

: Ensure all painting tasks are carried out following safety protocols and environmental standards. Maintain a clean work area and dispose of materials safely.

Material Management

: Assist in selecting, ordering, and maintaining painting materials and supplies in collaboration with the purchasing department.

Guest Areas

: Prioritize painting tasks in guest rooms, lobbies, and other visible areas to maintain the hotel's professional appearance.

Quality Control

: Ensure all painting work meets hotel standards for quality and craftsmanship.

Repair Work

: Fill holes, cracks, and other surface imperfections before applying new paint or finishes.

Qualifications

:

Proven experience as a painter in a hotel or similar hospitality environment. Knowledge of various painting techniques, tools, and finishes. Familiarity with safety standards in painting and chemical handling. Ability to lift, move, and handle painting materials, tools, and equipment safely. Good eye for detail and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
