Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced painter to join our team. As a painter at Centerstone Interiors, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal of our interior projects. Your expertise in surface preparation, painting techniques, and attention to detail will contribute to creating exceptional finishes within commercial and residential spaces. Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming, ensuring a smooth and even base.
• Select appropriate paints, colors, and finishes based on project specifications, client preferences, and design plans.
• Apply paints, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, ensuring consistent coverage and desired texture.
• Use masking tape and drop cloths to protect surfaces not intended for painting.
• Perform repairs on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, including patching holes, filling cracks, and smoothing imperfections.
• Collaborate with project managers and interior designers to understand painting requirements, color schemes, and design concepts.
• Maintain accurate records of paint colors used, quantities, and work performed for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and industry standards during all painting activities.
• Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and longevity.
• Coordinate and work alongside other skilled laborers and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a painter, preferably in the interior design and construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of various painting techniques, finishes, and materials.
• Familiarity with different types of paints, varnishes, and coatings, and their applications.
• Understanding of surface preparation techniques, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.
• Excellent color perception and ability to match and mix paints accurately.
• Attention to detail and precision to achieve high-quality finishes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and meeting project deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, project managers, and clients.
