Painter
This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the hotel's interior and exterior surfaces to ensure a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment. This position focuses on quality workmanship and timely completion of painting and surface preparation tasks, supporting the overall maintenance and appearance of the hotel.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling holes or cracks to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and furniture using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Maintain the hotel's aesthetic standards by ensuring clean, smooth, and even paint finishes on all assigned surfaces.
Conduct routine inspections and touch-ups on painted surfaces to address wear and damage.
Remove old paint and wallpaper as needed for renovation or maintenance projects.
Use ladders, scaffolding, and lifts safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas.
Coordinate with the engineering and maintenance teams to schedule painting work without disrupting hotel operations.
Ensure all painting work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain painting tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies; report needs to supervisor.
Document work completed and report any maintenance issues discovered during painting.
Qualifications
Secondary / High school education
Proven experience as a professional painter, preferably in commercial or hospitality settings
Knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and tools
Ability to prepare and paint surfaces efficiently and to a high standard of quality
Familiarity with safety protocols, including the handling of hazardous materials like solvents and paint removers
Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift for extended periods
Attention to detail and a good eye for color and finish quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
