Responsible for both sandblasting and painting tasks in offshore environments, ensures proper surface preparation and high-quality coating applications that meet industry standards. Sandblasting & Surface Preparation: . Prepares and cleans metal or concrete surfaces using sandblasting techniques to remove rust, old paint, and contaminants. . Operates sandblasting equipment efficiently and safely, adhering to offshore safety regulations. . Inspects blasted surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of coatings. Painting & Coating Application: . Performs painting tasks using brushes, rollers, or spray painting in offshore conditions. . Applies primer and topcoats designed for marine and offshore environments to protect surfaces from corrosion and extreme weather conditions. . Ensures paint application meets offshore safety and durability standards. . Conducts final inspections to guarantee long-term coating performance. Qualifications and Experience: . Minimum 5 years of experience in both painting and sandblasting with offshore projects. . Familiarity with offshore safety standards, including work on oil rigs, marine structures, or offshore platforms. . Knowledge of marine-grade coatings and corrosion protection methods. . Ability to work under harsh offshore conditions (high humidity, saltwater exposure, confined spaces). . Valid offshore safety and survival training certificates (such as BOSIET, HUET, or equivalent).
