Job Summary:

The Painter cum Polisher is responsible for preparing, painting, varnishing, and polishing surfaces such as wood, metal, and walls. This role ensures a smooth, high-quality finish in line with project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming before painting or polishing. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Mix and match paint or polish to required color and texture. Perform polishing on wooden furniture, doors, panels, and other surfaces. Inspect completed work for quality and finish standards. Repair or touch up painted or polished surfaces as required. Ensure proper storage and handling of paints, thinners, and polishing materials. Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and safe condition. Follow workplace safety guidelines and proper use of protective equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a painter, polisher, or in a similar role. Knowledge of surface preparation, paint application, and polishing techniques. Ability to mix and match colors accurately. Familiarity with different types of paints, varnishes, and finishing materials. Attention to detail and good craftsmanship skills. Physical stamina and ability to handle painting and polishing tools/equipment.

Work Environment:

Construction sites, workshops, commercial buildings, and residential projects. May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or during off-hours for project completion.
