Job Description
A Packaging Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting packaging equipment to ensure products are packaged efficiently and meet quality standards. They set up machines, monitor performance, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Operating Packaging Equipment:
Setting up, adjusting, and operating various packaging machines, including filling, sealing, labeling, and wrapping equipment.Monitoring and Maintenance:
Regularly inspecting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making adjustments to ensure smooth production.Quality Control:
Inspecting packaged products for defects, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards.Material Management:
Monitoring packaging materials, ensuring adequate supplies, and minimizing waste.Documentation:
Maintaining accurate records of packaging activities, production metrics, and quality control data.Safety and Compliance:
Following safety regulations and quality standards, and participating in safety meetings.Collaboration:
Working with other team members, such as production staff and supervisors, to coordinate packaging schedules and resolve issues.Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of packaging equipment, and troubleshooting skills.Attention to Detail:
Essential for inspecting products, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring quality.Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify and resolve issues related to packaging processes and equipment.Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.Adaptability:
