Overhead Crane Operator
Job Description
Qualifications:
ITI / Vocational (Crane Operation / Mechanical / Electrical - preferred)
High School & Equivalent (minimum)
Diploma (Mechanical / Industrial - optional)
Responsibilities:
Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials safely
Inspect crane machinery and equipment before and after operation
Monitor crane controls, signals, and load capacities
Follow safety protocols during lifting, moving, and unloading operations
Coordinate with ground personnel and other operators for smooth workflow
Maintain logs of crane operations and report any issues or malfunctions
Assist in routine maintenance of crane and related equipment
Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations
Requirements:
1-5 years of experience operating overhead cranes or similar lifting equipment
Valid crane operation certification or training (if applicable)
Knowledge of safety standards and load handling procedures
Ability to work in industrial or construction environments
Physical fitness and good hand-eye coordination
