About this opportunity!

We are looking for OSS/NMS Experts with telecom managed services background and technical expertise on the multiple network nodes ranging from RAN, Transport and Core. Someone willing to work at customer location and can manage the system administration for multiple NMS nodes.

The person needs to be well verse with the OSS/NMS applications functionality and underlying IT infrastructure of these applications.

What you will do

Primary responsibility includes (but not limited to) -
  • Administration, housekeeping, and service request support of the OSS applications
  • Resolve Trouble Tickets / support requests received on email. Identify the root-cause of the issue and provide solution and if unsuccessful, escalates it to the relevant L3
  • Administration of the VMWare cluster, backup solution.
  • Major OSS/NMS systems under administration includes (not limited to) NetAct, Huawei U2020, Polystar, PRTG, NetBoss, Taishan, Ericsson ENM etc.
  • Support the technical integration of new applications with the network elements for:
  • Mobile Network domains: RAN (2G,3G,4G,5G NSA and Cloud RAN), PS Core (physical nodes and vEPC nodes), CS Core (physical nodes and vIMS nodes), IGWs.
  • Transport Domains: Access Transmission (RTN, OSN, SDH), Backbone Transmission (OTN, DWDM), IP Networks (Routers, Switches, Firewalls).
  • Fixed Networks: Fixed Access Network and GPON devices
  • EMS Integration support for the NBI interfaces for umbrella NMS, Inventory Management System, Data Lake, Business Tools, and Security Systems.
  • Patch management / mediations installation for RAN, Core Nodes and Transmission Nodes
  • Validate fixes / patches for OS, Application, Database before implementation in production environment
  • Facilitate access of vendors to data centre and coordinate the activities at data centre
  • Coordinate with product vendors (OEMs and others as relevant) and planning teams for decommissioning of the old and legacy systems
  • Support customer planning team for the major upgrades.
  • Coordinate with customer security teams and vendors for resolution of security issues
  • Attend CAB meetings and provide impact analysis on proposed changes in production
  • Develop and provide reports to customer as and when requested.
  • Identify the root-cause of the Incidents raised by Service Assurance team and provide solution and if unsuccessful, escalates it to the L3
  • Identify system capacity issues and raise it with planning and implementation teams
  • Periodically renew SSL certificates
You will bring
  • Batchelor degree in Engineering (Telecommunications preferably)
  • 7+ years of experience in the Telecom (OSS/NMS) nodes operations and maintenance
  • Experience in major OSS/NMS systems under administration includes (not limited to) NetAct, Huawei U2020, Polystar, PRTG, NetBoss, Taishan, Ericsson ENM etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive attitude and flexible to work on call to provide production support in 24x7x365 environment.
