Job Description

Orthopedic Surgeon Duties: Direct and manage all aspects of orthopedic surgery services, including surgical planning and techniques, patient assessment, clinical evaluation, and treatment Develop and implement treatment plans for orthopedic conditions, including surgery, physical therapy, and medications Track patient progress, noting weight fluctuations, complications, and complications Advise on use of medications and physical therapy, including strategies for pain management Interpret test results and guidelines to physicians, nurses, and patients Assist in the training of orthopedic staff Investigate the effectiveness of treatment, recommending changes as needed Develop and maintain professional partnerships with the community Prepare professional reports, presentations, and correspondence Orthopedic Surgeon Responsibilities: Surgeons must have an active medical staff Surgeons must have completed an orthopedic surgery residency - Requirements And Skills: Perform surgeries and care for patients with musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedic trauma, spine disorders, and other orthopedic conditions Develop treatment plans and surgical plans for complex cases Conduct evaluations of patients to determine appropriate surgical and non-surgical treatment options Perform surgical procedures, including positioning the patient under anesthesia, making an incision, and suturing the incision Use minimally invasive techniques to increase patient comfort and reduce recovery time Develop treatment plans for patients requiring assistive devices, such as braces, casts, or wheelchairs Conduct regular follow-up phone calls to patients to monitor their progress Attend conferences, seminars, and training sessions to keep current with new developments and advances in orthopedic care Attend meetings and perform other administrative duties
