Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Organic Pest Controller to lead our efforts in managing pests using eco-friendly and sustainable methods. As the Organic Pest Controller, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our crops while upholding our commitment to organic farming practices and environmental protection. - Develop and implement organic pest management strategies to protect crops from pests and diseases.
- Conduct regular pest scouting and monitoring to identify pest infestations and assess crop health.
- Utilize natural and organic pest control methods, including biological controls, beneficial insects, trap crops, and cultural practices.
- Collaborate with the farm management team to devise integrated pest management plans that align with crop cycles and production goals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in organic pest control methods and technologies.
- Maintain accurate records of pest control activities, including pest identification, treatment methods, and outcomes.
- Train and educate farm staff on proper pest identification, prevention, and control techniques.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pest control measures and make adjustments as needed.
- Adhere to organic certification standards and regulations while implementing pest control strategies.
- Assist in the development of pest control budgets and resource planning.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Agriculture, Entomology, Plant Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in organic pest management within a farm or agricultural setting.
- Strong knowledge of common pests and diseases affecting crops in the UAE.
- Familiarity with organic pest control methods, including biological controls and cultural practices.
- Ability to identify pests, diagnose infestations, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Proficiency in using natural and sustainable pest control techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized approach to pest monitoring and record-keeping.
- Commitment to organic farming principles and environmental sustainability.
- UAE driving license is a plus.
