The role involves installation, implementation, upgrade, patching, and administration of Oracle databases and applications. Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Core databases and Oracle Applications in production and non-production environments.
Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle database and application environments to ensure stability, performance, and security.
Manage Oracle High Availability solutions such as Data Guard and Cluster Database systems.
Perform database cloning, patching, backup, and restoration using RMAN and Data Pump utilities.
Support Middleware technologies and integration between applications and databases.
Conduct performance tuning, SQL optimization, and database capacity planning.
Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data resilience and business continuity.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and enhance system efficiency.
Ensure compliance with software licensing, security policies, and audit standards.
Prepare and maintain documentation for configurations, maintenance, and performance reports.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration or related technical positions within large organizations, preferably in banking.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered.
Relevant Oracle certification (OCP or OCM preferred).
Strong expertise in Oracle Core Database and Oracle Applications.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Application Server, Audit Vault, OEM, OAM, and related tools.
Proficiency in Middleware technologies and open-source infrastructure components.
Experience in Oracle High Availability setups, including RAC, Data Guard, and Cluster configurations.
Strong skills in database performance tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of data migration tools, import/export utilities, and cloning methodologies.
Familiarity with Oracle licensing management and compliance best practices.
