Role Overview

We are looking for a

female Ophthalmology Nurse

with hands-on experience in eye clinics or hospitals to join our team at

Laser Eye Center Dubai

. The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to ophthalmology procedures, patient care, and clinical support for refractive and cataract surgery cases. She will work closely with doctors and technicians to ensure smooth patient flow, accurate pre- and post-operative care, and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Assist ophthalmologists during consultations, diagnostic tests, and minor procedures. Perform

pre-operative assessments

(vision checks, refractions, intraocular pressure tests, topography, biometry). Prepare patients for

refractive surgeries

(LASIK, Femto LASIK, ReLEx SMILE, PRK) and

cataract surgeries

. Provide post-operative instructions and ensure patients understand care protocols. Monitor and record patient medical history, vital signs, and follow-up visits. Administer medications, eye drops, and ensure sterile conditions in procedure rooms. Support in handling

common ophthalmology cases

, such as: Refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism) Cataracts Dry eye management Keratoconus pre- and post-treatment Glaucoma monitoring (basic support and testing) Post-LASIK and post-cataract follow-ups Educate patients on eye health, procedures, and recovery. Ensure compliance with infection control and clinic standards.

Requirements

DHA eligibility/license (mandatory). Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Minimum

2-3 years of nursing experience in an ophthalmology clinic or hospital

. Proven experience assisting in

refractive surgeries, cataract procedures, and ophthalmology diagnostics

. Excellent communication and patient-care skills. Fluency in English (Arabic/Tagalog is a plus). Professional, empathetic, and detail-oriented personality.
