Operate pumps, valves, and other equipment to control the flow of sewage. Monitor gauges, meters, control panels, and SCADA systems to ensure proper functionality. Start and stop pumps based on flow requirements and system conditions. Report and assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults. Conduct regular inspections of the pumping station and related infrastructure. Record operational data such as flow rates, pressure levels, and equipment status. Prepare daily operational logs. Respond promptly to alarms, equipment failures, or overflow situations. Coordinate with maintenance teams and supervisors during emergencies. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and municipal standards. Participate in safety drills and training sessions. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pumping station. Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel. Report unusual conditions or incidents without delay. Assist in training new operators and junior staff. Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety, and the Environment by understanding, communicating, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and the company's safety policies and procedures related to operational activities.

Qualifications

ITI or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical or ICA. 2-3 years of experience working in maintenance specially in sewerage / irrigation / stormwater pumping stations or STP's Experience with SCADA systems
