Job Description
- Responsible to Drive a heavy Dumper truck to transport EAF slag Powder / cold slag rocks from slag pit to discharge slag at designated dumping Area.
- Transport Sand for Slag Pots in order smooth operation of slag shift operation, follow the shift Foreman planning for the daily shift Jobs and well informed to reliever about truck condition.
- Transportation of Slag from one plant to other plant, Avoiding Over speeding during Travelling in plant or in public road and not drive exceed weight limit of dump truck.
- Experienced in general safety rules like loading, hauling, dumping, stocking and parking of Vehicle and Load / unload materials with functioning of hydraulic systems in dumpers.
- Knowledge of traffic rules to be followed inside the steel plant or outside on roads.
- Preventive checks for tipper trucks, cleaning of filters, Radiator with Air, check of petrol level, daily cleaning truck bed and Proper Coordination with Shovel Operator to dump slag or slag Powder.
- Daily Check and inspect equipment condition prior operation and report if equipment breakdown to shift foreman or Inform concerned authorities for any abnormalities during the shift Operation.
- Follow & comply with standard Operating procedures of Dumper Truck, follow Site Safety Observation SOP’s, follow Company Safety rules regulations & use PPE while working in the plant.
- To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.
- To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.
- To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff.
- To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.
- To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.
- To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.
- To attend safety trainings planned for them.
