Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our last-mile delivery team. This is a hands-on, critical leadership role where you will be directly responsible for overseeing the daily execution of over 1,000 deliveries. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in logistics, exceptional people management skills, and a passion for optimizing processes to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:

• Supervise and coordinate all daily last-mile delivery activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of all orders.
• Monitor live delivery dashboards and driver performance metrics to maintain high service levels.
• Ensure all delivery operations comply with company safety standards, SLAs, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage fleet maintenance schedules and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure vehicles are operational and compliant.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and train a team of delivery drivers and support staff, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
• Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
• Handle daily scheduling, task allocation, and timekeeping for the team.

Route Planning & Optimization:

• Oversee and optimize daily delivery routes using advanced software and tools to maximize efficiency and reduce fuel costs.
• Proactively address and resolve route disruptions, such as traffic, weather, or unexpected delays.
• Utilize delivery technology (e.g., GPS tracking, mobile apps) to monitor progress and provide real-time support to drivers.

Customer Satisfaction & Issue Resolution:

• Act as the primary point of escalation for delivery-related issues, including delays, damaged goods, and customer inquiries.
• Implement corrective actions and process improvements to prevent recurring problems and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Analyze delivery data and customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Skills
Essential:

• Proven experience (2+ years) in a supervisory role within logistics, courier services, or last-mile delivery operations.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing and developing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
• Solid understanding of route optimization principles and experience with delivery management software.
• Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required.

Preferred:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is a significant advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of Dubai's road networks and traffic patterns.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and platforms.
