Role : Operations Officer - Wholesale Finance Operations
Location : Abu Dhabi
Role Purpose:

  • Maintain tight and high quality Operational and Administrative controls
Key Accountabilities of the role * Ensure transaction requests received through BPM Workflow System / WFO Services Group email are attended and actioned as per the agreed turnaround time
  • Review and Processing all new Finance disbursement transaction documents Goods/Vehicle (Commodity Murabaha (UAE,Qatar and UK), ERC/UPAS, Import/Export Istissna, Control ICD (and withdrawals), Lombard Financing, Musawama/Murabaha Sukuk, Tadawul, Shares against Sukuk and MOPA/Khalifa Fund) meticulously for proper approvals, Sharia Compliance, process in relevant system and forward to Officer for approval and disbursement.
  • Maintain proper records of Commodity Trades for future reconciliation with Brokers and process the monthly fee payments to Commodity Broker after reconciling the MAP account
  • Process all AED/ FCY outward fund transfers related to Finance disbursements /route for authorization before cut-off time.
  • Prepare transaction vouchers and execute after securing Superior approval for all facility premature settlements, installment deferrals and other miscellaneous customer instructions within set guidelines and policies
  • Extent full support to International Branches for processing of transactions
  • Ensure Deferral excel sheet is updated with all pending original documents and regular follow up is done with Business Units
  • Reconcile MAP & GL accounts related to WFO - including Khalifa Fund / MOPA GLs- daily basis and escalate if any long outstanding
  • Ensure Daily Control Reports which are assigned, are printed, reviewed and action taken if required.
  • Ensure daily vouchers are scanned in department folder without fail archival of documents are done on a timely basis.
  • Report any significant exceptions/deviations to line manager for further instructions / guidance immediately and follow up with Business units in case of discrepancies in the transactional documents
  • Error Free work with no loss as WFO is performing high value transactions.
  • Strictly adhere to Service Delivery Standards i.e., handle enquiries, process transactions within the appropriate TAT
  • Assist Team Leader for Syndication Activities
  • Undertake any additional assignments / projects entrusted by the line management and complete them as per target dates.
  • Ensure compliance to ADIB policies, procedures, guidelines, standards and maintaining high standard of operational controls
  • Attend training programs to improve skills knowledge in order to enhance role performance and provide training to junior staff under the cross functional training program.
  • Be familiar with the relevant provisions of the Business Continuity plans and extend full support to BCP Coordinator.
  • Periodically evaluate the WFO operational processes and recommend to line management, suitable changes to improve efficiency and controls.
  • Ensure MIS is updated with accurate numbers at End of Day
