Description

Our client who is in the Education sector is looking to hire a temporary Operations Officer for their school in Abu Dhabi.
This would be a 1 month extendable contract starting immediately. Candidates who has their OWN VISA and/or FAMILY SPONSORSHIP will be only considered for this role. Responsibilities:
Support relevant School Operational leads throughout the year through demand cycles to ensure that each central department is well represented and has available capacity to offer exceptional service to school staff.
Coordination of CAPEX requirements and tracking of budgets for the school.
Lead on the school operational review process, conducting school supportive audits and compiling reports with findings for all relevant stakeholders.
Manage and record the database for all operational and safety policies and service guidelines.
Manage and track the database for all operational licenses and ensure timely renewals.
General Operations
Manage the online storage and tracking of issued policies, systems, processes and student safeguarding measures as issued by Group Head of Departments made available to all school operations teams.
To support the Operations Manager to ensure essential central services such as catering, security, maintenance, cleaning, transport, waste disposal and recycling are effectively planned and resourced throughout the year.
Leadership & Management
To support the OSM to ensure the external support service teams are performing in line with school expectations, fully resourced and delivering on their contractual obligations delivering best value for the school and high standards of service for the school community.
Support the OSM to ensure high standards of service are maintained throughout the School and that they provide an effective service culture.
Finance, Commercial & Procurement
Coordinate with OSM on CAPEX requirements.
To track relevant CAPEX budgets and expenditure and ensure the School receives best value and service at all times in relation to operations and building standards.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
Follow the school licenses tracking process to ensure being alerted in advance of license renewals to ensure the company is not penalised by fines.
Support school in ensuring that school is fully compliant with local government authority regulations to safeguard against fines of any nature as a result of non-renewal of contracts at school level.
Health, Safety & Environment
Ensure high standards of HSE are maintained throughout the school and to provide an effective safety culture.
Support in school safety audits and compiling reports with findings.
Assist on the development and implementation of AVA (EHS management tool), record appropriate changes/ improvements and hold relevant sessions for group-wide training and development.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years experience in a entry-level position within an education or service oriented industry
Minimum High school diploma / degree of higher education; or
Related industry qualification, of graduate level, for the assigned functional area(s).
Certificate of Facilities Management / NEBOSH or IOSH preferable
Must have a valid UAE driving license and own car
Fully vaccinated is REQUIRED (6 months 2nd shoot requires booster)
