We are seeking an experienced and organized Operations Manager - Fleet & Transport Services to oversee daily transport operations, manage fleet performance, and ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective service delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, operational knowledge, and experience managing vehicles, drivers, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily fleet and transport operations
Plan, schedule, and optimize vehicle usage and driver assignments
Monitor fleet performance, fuel usage, and operational costs
Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies
Supervise drivers and transport staff, including performance management and training
Coordinate vehicle maintenance, servicing, and inspections
Handle incident reports, breakdowns, and operational challenges
Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure service quality
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience in fleet management, transport operations, or logistics
Strong leadership and team management skills
Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport regulations, and safety procedures
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in basic reporting and operational tracking tools
Valid driver's license (preferred)
Preferred Skills
Experience managing large or mixed vehicle fleets
Background in logistics, supply chain, or transport services
Strong communication and negotiation skills
