Full-timeJob Summary Al Fan Al Shaabi Aluminium and Glass Contracting is seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all operational activities within our manufacturing and project division. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader responsible for ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, safety, and profitability across all projects, from fabrication to final installation.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Planning and Execution:
Develop, implement, and manage operational strategies and procedures to drive efficiency and productivity across the entire production and installation workflow.
Project Oversight:
Supervise and monitor all aluminium and glass projects from inception to completion, ensuring work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with approved project schedules and technical specifications.
Resource Management:
Effectively allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and minimize costs across multiple projects simultaneously.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of supervisors, fabricators, and installers. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance to enhance team performance and foster a positive, high-performing work culture.
Quality Control and Compliance:
Enforce stringent quality assurance standards and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure all products meet customer expectations and industry benchmarks.
Budget and Financial Management:
Oversee operational budgets, monitor expenses, and use financial data to make informed decisions that improve profitability and control costs.
Procurement and Supply Chain:
Manage the supply chain process, including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and logistics. Coordinate with suppliers to prevent material shortages and delays.
Client and Stakeholder Relations:
Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and maintain strong professional relationships.
Problem-Solving:
Proactively identify operational bottlenecks and technical issues, and develop and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
Reporting:
Generate and present regular performance reports to senior management, detailing project status, financial performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in operations management within the aluminium and glass, or facade and metal works industry, with a proven track record in the UAE or GCC.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong command of aluminium and glass systems (e.g., curtain wall, doors, windows, partitions) and familiarity with common industry systems (e.g., Gulf Extrusion,Alumil, Gutmann).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
Project Management:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, track progress, and meet deadlines.
Leadership:
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate teams.
Financial Acumen:
Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
Software Proficiency:
Proficient in project management software, ERP systems, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.
Problem-Solving:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues under pressure.
Language:
Fluent in English (oral and written). Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
License:
A valid UAE Driving License is required.
