Job Summary:

The

Operations Cum Contracting Manager

oversees daily plant operations and manages all vendor, supplier, and service contracts to ensure the smooth, cost-effective, and compliant functioning of the production facility. This role bridges operational execution with strategic procurement and contracting to support manufacturing output, safety, and efficiency goals.

Key Responsibilities: Plant Operations Management

Lead and coordinate plant operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met Monitor production schedules, equipment utilization, material flow, and staffing levels Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental, and health regulations

Contracting & Vendor Management

Manage all supplier and service contracts (e.g., raw materials, equipment servicing, waste disposal, logistics) Negotiate terms, pricing, and SLAs with vendors and contractors Ensure contracts meet compliance standards and align with plant operational needs Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations and resolve disputes or service issues Oversee contract renewals, audits, and documentation processes

Procurement & Cost Control

Support procurement planning aligned with production forecasts Identify opportunities to reduce costs through better sourcing, supplier consolidation, or renegotiation Work with finance and supply chain teams to control operating expenses and manage budgets effectively

Qualifications:Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment Proven track record in contract negotiation and vendor management
