Job Description

Kay International AMEA Limited is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the daily administrative and operational functions of our DIFC-based reinsurance underwriting agency and brokerage. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient processes, regulatory compliance in operations, and supporting both underwriting and brokerage teams. The position reports to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) or Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Key Responsibilities:



Manage and streamline core operational processes, including policy issuance, endorsements, premium processing, claims coordination, and document management. Oversee the operations team, including workflow assignment, performance management, and professional development. Ensure all operational activities comply with internal policies, DFSA regulations, and DIFC compliance requirements. Liaise with IT providers and internal stakeholders to maintain and optimize operational systems (e.g., policy administration systems, CRM, document management). Develop and implement operational procedures and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and client service delivery. Coordinate with the Finance team on premium collection, bordereaux processing, and reconciliation activities. Manage relationships with key external service providers, such as translators, couriers, and IT support vendors. Prepare and analyze operational performance reports for senior management. Support the COO in strategic operational projects, system implementations, and business continuity planning.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, with at least 3 years within the insurance, reinsurance, or financial services sector. DIFC/DFSA experience is mandatory. Proven knowledge of insurance/reinsurance operational workflows, policy lifecycle, and document management. Strong understanding of DFSA regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements as they pertain to operations. Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with insurance-specific software/systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Fluency in English is required.
