Job Title: Operations Manager - Delivery Services Department: Operations Reports To: Managing Director Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our motorbike fleet, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and exceptional service delivery. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with logistics, maintenance, customer service, and finance teams to optimize fleet performance, drive profitability, and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Your strategic mindset, leadership skills, and ability to leverage data-driven insights will be critical in achieving operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Management: Manage the full lifecycle of the motorbike fleet, including rental/acquisition, maintenance, repairs, and disposal. Develop strategies to maximize fleet utilization, reduce downtime, and lower operational costs. Collaborate with suppliers, maintenance teams, and service providers to ensure timely vehicle servicing. Monitor performance metrics (fuel consumption, maintenance costs, accident rates) and implement corrective actions. Operations Planning & Execution: Design and execute operational plans aligned with business goals and customer needs. Coordinate with scheduling teams to optimize allocation of motorbikes, drivers, and delivery routes. Oversee dispatching processes to minimize delivery times and enhance resource efficiency. Resolve operational issues in real-time and ensure compliance with company policies. Lead, mentor, and manage drivers, dispatchers, and operational staff. Recruit, train, and evaluate team performance, fostering a culture of accountability and safety. Provide coaching and feedback to improve individual and team productivity. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish KPIs to measure fleet and operational efficiency. Prepare detailed reports on operational performance for senior management. Analyze data trends and identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, maintaining high service standards. Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients. Process Improvement & Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational processes and reduce inefficiencies. Maintain and update SOPs and operational policies to ensure consistency and compliance. Recommend and support the integration of technology to boost productivity (e.g., fleet management software). Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, licensing, and safety regulations. Implement safety protocols, including driver training, conduct regular inspections, and incident reporting. Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies in fleet management. Qualifications: Education: BacheloraEUR(TM)s degree in business administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field (preferred). Experience: 3-5 years in operations management, preferably in motorbike fleet or transportation. Experience in large fleet environments is a plus. Strong knowledge of fleet management, logistics, and supply chain principles. Proficiency in fleet management software, route optimization tools, and data analytics platforms. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
