Operations Manager

Job Description

Job Purpose:



To oversee, manage, and optimize the daily operations of the Projects and Maintenance divisions, ensuring timely execution, quality performance, cost control, and client satisfaction in alignment with company objectives. The Operation Manager acts as the key link between management, clients, and the technical team.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Operational Management



Plan, direct, and coordinate operational activities for both Project and Maintenance departments. Ensure all projects and AMCs are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. Prepare and implement monthly execution and maintenance schedules in coordination with the Operation Lead Engineer. Monitor manpower, equipment, and material allocation to ensure productivity and profitability. Review project progress and ensure adherence to target timelines.

2. Project Execution & Maintenance Oversight



Approve work schedules, project plans, and resource allocation for ongoing jobs. Ensure all required documents (work orders, shop drawings, material submittals, test reports, etc.) are prepared and submitted on time. Conduct periodic site inspections to monitor work quality and progress. Verify and ensure PPM schedules for AMC contracts are executed and properly documented. Support technical team in resolving on-site issues, client complaints, or design discrepancies.

3. Financial & Commercial Control



Review and approve monthly invoicing plans in coordination with the operations and accounts teams. Control operational costs, optimize resource usage, and ensure profitability targets are met. Review supplier quotations and ensure procurement aligns with budget and project requirements. Support in claim management, variation handling, and cost tracking.

4. Team Management & Leadership



Lead, mentor, and motivate engineers, supervisors, and coordinators to achieve operational excellence. Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and promote teamwork and accountability. Coordinate between departments (Procurement, Estimation, Finance, HR, etc.) to ensure smooth workflow. Enforce discipline, attendance policies, and safety standards across all project sites.

5. Client & Stakeholder Coordination



Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants, and contractors. Attend coordination and progress meetings with clients and internal teams. Ensure timely submission of reports, MOMs, and project deliverables. Handle escalations, approvals, and technical clarifications effectively.

6. Compliance & Quality



Ensure all work complies with

UAE Civil Defense

,

NFPA

, and other regulatory standards. Implement company quality, safety, and environmental policies at all levels. Monitor corrective and preventive actions for any site nonconformance. Ensure completion documentation and handover formalities are properly executed.

Qualifications & Experience:



Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Fire Protection Engineering (or related field) Minimum

8-12 years of experience

in Fire & Safety systems (FAS, FFS, Emergency/Exit Lighting) At least

3-5 years

in a managerial or operations lead role in the UAE Strong understanding of UAE Civil Defense regulations and approval procedures Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools
