Key Responsibilities
Vessel & Crew Management
: Scheduling, crewing, training, and performance management of ship crews.Operational Oversight
: Managing daily vessel movements, cargo logistics, and port activities.Compliance & Safety
: Ensuring adherence to international maritime laws, regulations (like USCG), and internal safety protocols.Maintenance
: Coordinating vessel and equipment maintenance and repairs.Stakeholder Liaison
: Communicating with port authorities, agents, customers, and regulatory bodies.Financial Management
: Monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and reporting on performance.Problem Solving
: Handling incidents, emergencies, and operational disruptions.Essential Skills & Qualifications
Experience
: Proven experience in marine/maritime management.Knowledge
: Strong understanding of shipping, logistics, regulations, and vessel operations.Leadership
: Ability to lead diverse teams and manage performance.Communication
: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with various stakeholders.Analytical
: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.Education
: Often requires a degree in Marine Operations, Maritime Management, or related fields.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
