Nair Systems is currently looking for OpenShift Platform Administrator for our Qatar operations with the following terms & conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE Required Qualifications: . BS degree in Computer Science. Similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience. . Certified Kubernetes Administrator . Certified Red hat OpenShift Administrator Optional Qualification: . Any IT/Cloud Architect Certification Required Experience: . Minimum 6 years of proven work experience as a Linux Engineer/Administrator. . Minimum 3+ years of experience on Containerization technologies like OpenShift, Kubernetes. . Minimum 4 years of proven work experience of large-scale Spring Boot/Java projects, experience with REST/GRPC, RESTful API. KEY COMPETENCIES . Expertise on Helm charts, Kubernetes Operator, Customize . Expertise with Source Code management (SCM) Tools such as Git . Automation experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools . Basic Knowledge on Virtualization Infrastructure. . Expert in Scripting python, YAML, shell etc. . Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles. . Expertise on Dockers, Podman and tools supporting containers. . Experience scoping, resourcing, managing and overcoming obstacles in software development projects. . Experience with TCP/IP & general networking principles. . Linux Administration with hands on experience. . Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong written and verbal communication skills. . Experience with platform observability and logging tools (i.e. Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, Grafana, etc.) . IT management tools such as BMC Remedy, Service now etc. . Nice to have Java framework and Pipelines troubleshooting JOB PURPOSE The OpenShift Platform Administrator demonstrated the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed to create, configure, and manage a cloud application platform using Red Hat OpenShift . He/she also needs to build, manage, monitor, secure, compliance, Administer the container platform ecosystem, He/she will work closely with the IT Infrastructure and Application teams, QA and operations team members. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITES Essential Functions: . Deployment and operation of the container infrastructure based on Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes on premise. . Installing and manage the container platform ecosystem (Master / Worker Nodes). . Mange Entire OpenShift components like pods, network, storage and security components with standard hardening guidelines . Deploying and managing, automation of containerized applications on the platform. . Configure and administration of OpenShift and Kubernetes Clusters. . Manage users, Policies and control access on resources. . Observability, Monitoring and maintaining the platform, including the containers and clusters. . Maintain, configure and monitor containers using Infrastructure as Code principles in Development, Test, and Live environments . Troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise on the platform. . Experience with Kubernetes management, backup and recovery, and deployment tools (i.e., Kasten, Port Worx, Argo CD, etc.) . CSI/ ODF Setup and Implementation. . Experience with application development using containers, leveraging API and CI/CD tooling (Gitlab, Jenkins, Tekton, etc.). . Implementing security and compliance measures for the platform to meet industry standards like PCI-DSS etc. . Experience in managing a managed Kubernetes solution like Red hat Open shift, Google Anthos, SUSE Rancher etc. . Expert in Scripting python, YAML, shell etc. . Experience in Service mesh, L3/4/7 Proxy, container technologies, and understanding of Load Balancing technologies (Nginx, Hap Roxy etc.) Experience in working on containerization technologies like Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes . Contributes to and supports the corporate Enterprise Container Strategy by Identifying ideas to improve system performance and impact availability. . Assist in change management of container platform for new versions of OpenShift, Hotfixes, system admin tasks, etc. . Identification and management of action plans aiming to optimize consumption, cost, evolution of clusters and the environment . Troubleshoot and do RCA for cluster related issues. Assist development team as necessary to resolve issues related. . Strong problem-solving and communication skills, as they will be working with various teams and stakeholders to ensure the platform is operating effectively. . Identify and recommend emerging technologies as they relate to team objectives . Participate in DR exercises . Engage in 24/7 Production support as part of an on-call support team (rotation), available to support on planned or unplanned activities outside of normal office hours . Create documentation to ensure effective operations/support of the platform Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 1 month)
