Offshore General technician can operate Generators and Compressors
inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment, including diesel engines, generators, and compressors, on offshore platforms and vessels
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance and timely repairs on diesel engines, gas/diesel generators, and various types of air compressors.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in complex systems, identify the root cause of failures, and implement effective solutions to restore equipment to optimal performance.
Equipment Management:
Monitor equipment performance, identify necessary replacement parts and supply for maintenance tasks, and coordinate with the operations team for procurement.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all company safety policies and offshore regulations, conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and ensure all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
Operational Support:
Assist with the mobilization and deployment of equipment on vessels and ensure that all mechanical and electrical systems are functioning correctly to support offshore operations.
Teamwork and Communication:
Work independently or as part of a team to complete maintenance tasks, communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, and provide guidance and direction when supervising others.
