OFFSHORE HSE OFFICER

Location: Abu Dhabi offshore

Duration: 4 months

Job purpose

Implement HSE management systems at site / field level, according to the Company and project specific HSE guidelines and standards.

Ensure proper management of all the HSE issues at site level.

Duties and responsibilities

Provide necessary support to ensure the correct development, management and improvement of the Project HSE Management System throughout the phases of the project:

\xc2\xb7 Provide necessary support to ensure that all construction activities carried out by Company and Subcontractors are conducted in strict accordance with the Client HSE Requirements, applicable local legislation, International Standards

\xc2\xb7 Provide necessary support to ensure that Project HSE plan and Procedures are implemented throughout the entire project life

\xc2\xb7 Identify safety criticalities and environmental sensitive areas and implement mitigation measures

\xc2\xb7 Accident / incident investigation

\xc2\xb7 Participate in site HSE Risk Management

\xc2\xb7 Act as HSE focal point for the work developed at site / field level

\xc2\xb7 Ensure the emergency response plan for any identified potential event are tested and applied

\xc2\xb7 Perform HSE inspections at site level

\xc2\xb7 Promote environmental and safety awareness among the workforce and hold regular site meetings with supervisors, workers, sub-contractors

\xc2\xb7 Provide HSE support and advice to the project/site management

\xc2\xb7 Ensure Project HSE training and Induction programs implementation at site level

\xc2\xb7 HSE KPI reporting to Project HSE management level

\xc2\xb7 Safety Observation Card management and reporting to Project HSE management level

Qualifications and Experience

\xc2\xb7 Bechelor Degree or Diploma

\xc2\xb7 NEBOSH GC/IGC

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HSE in any industry, with at least 1 year experience in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects/operations/production in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industry

\xc2\xb7 Evidence of previous experience of working in ADNOC Offshore projects

\xc2\xb7 Records of previous ADNOC approval for working on ADNOC projects

Skills and Competencies

\xc2\xb7 Ability to conduct HSE orientation / induction/HSE awareness sessions to workers

\xc2\xb7 Understanding and implementation of the HSE Plan.

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge and experience in implementing ADNOC PTW system and Gas Testing

\xc2\xb7 Awareness on H2S & Breathing Apparatus

\xc2\xb7 Ability to understand and participate in Risk Assessments

\xc2\xb7 Ability to conduct HSE inspections

\xc2\xb7 Ability to understand and implement Emergency response plans/procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to speak, read and write English with good communication skills

\xc2\xb7 Good level of knowledge of ADNOC HSE procedures

Training and Certifications

\xc2\xb7 Opito T-BOSIET or FOET

\xc2\xb7 Opito H2S

\xc2\xb7 Opito Travel Safely by Boat

\xc2\xb7 ADNOC Offshore Induction

\xc2\xb7 ADNOC PTW system training course

\xc2\xb7 ADNOC approved Offshore Medical Certificate

\xc2\xb7 Any further HSE Training/Certification will provide added value
